The EASZ-1 Water in oil Monitoring unit is a unique well-proven and well-tested water in oil monitoring system which provides operators of all type of Engines, Turbines, Thrusters, Azipods, Gears, Separators and Stabilizers with an early warning of water contamination of any oil system.

The working principle of the EASZ-1 WIO Monitor is based on the difference in dielectric constants of water and oil. In short, a continuous flow of oil measured inline (as opposed to a bypass system) since water and oil tend to separate. The EASZ-1 gives a direct and immediate measurement in real time.

Applications in the Marine Industry include Engine Lubrication circuits, oil separators, high speed oil purifiers and water in fuel emulsion.

When a fixed set point is reached (decided by the operator or engine manufacturer) an alarm can be activated. The measured value is converted into a current signal e.g. 0-5,5% water content.
